Adipotide
PH-ADIP-001
Specifications
Description
Adipotide (CKGGRAKDC-GG-D(KLAKLAK)2) is a peptidomimetic that targets the vascular supply of white adipose tissue. This proapoptotic peptide selectively induces apoptosis in blood vessels feeding fat deposits.
Mechanism of Action
Adipotide contains a targeting sequence (CKGGRAKDC) that binds prohibitin on adipose vasculature, coupled to a proapoptotic domain that disrupts mitochondrial membranes. By destroying the blood supply to fat tissue, adipotide induces targeted apoptosis within blood vessels of white adipose tissue and results in rapid weight loss (Barnhart et al., 2011).

Frequently Asked Questions
What purity is Adipotide?
Each lot of Adipotide is verified to ≥99% by HPLC and confirmed by mass spectrometry. Results are documented in a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Does Adipotide include a Certificate of Analysis?
Yes. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for Adipotide documents its purity and identity and is available on our COA page.
How should Adipotide be stored?
Adipotide is supplied as a lyophilized powder. For short-term storage keep it refrigerated; for long-term storage keep it frozen, away from light and moisture.
How is Adipotide shipped?
Orders ship at a $15 flat rate, free on orders over $199, in discreet, insulated packaging. Domestic delivery typically takes 1–3 business days.
Can Adipotide be used on humans or animals?
No. Adipotide is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not for human or veterinary use, consumption, or diagnostic or clinical applications.
