PEG-MGF
PH-PEGMGF-001
Specifications
Description
PEG-MGF (PEGylated Mechano Growth Factor) is a modified form of MGF with polyethylene glycol conjugation to extend its biological half-life. This modification enhances systemic stability for research applications.
Mechanism of Action
PEG-MGF retains the satellite cell-activating properties of native MGF while the PEG moiety extends half-life from minutes to hours. The E domain of MGF peptide is anti-apoptotic and a stem cell homing factor (Doroudian et al., 2014). MGF-E peptide significantly increases the proliferative life span and delays senescence of satellite cells, enhancing their fusion potential for muscle repair (Kandalla et al., 2011).
Research Applications
- Extended MGF activity studies (Doroudian et al., 2014)
- Systemic muscle repair research
- PEGylation pharmacokinetics
- Satellite cell activation (Kandalla et al., 2011)
- Cardiac regeneration research

Frequently Asked Questions
What purity is PEG-MGF?
Each lot of PEG-MGF is verified to ≥99% by HPLC and confirmed by mass spectrometry. Results are documented in a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Does PEG-MGF include a Certificate of Analysis?
Yes. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for PEG-MGF documents its purity and identity and is available on our COA page.
How should PEG-MGF be stored?
PEG-MGF is supplied as a lyophilized powder. For short-term storage keep it refrigerated; for long-term storage keep it frozen, away from light and moisture.
How is PEG-MGF shipped?
Orders ship at a $15 flat rate, free on orders over $199, in discreet, insulated packaging. Domestic delivery typically takes 1–3 business days.
Can PEG-MGF be used on humans or animals?
No. PEG-MGF is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not for human or veterinary use, consumption, or diagnostic or clinical applications.
