DSIP
PH-DSIP-001
Specifications
Description
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide studied for its effects on sleep physiology, circadian rhythm, and stress response. Originally isolated from rabbit brain, it modulates sleep architecture.
Mechanism of Action
DSIP acts on multiple neuroendocrine pathways involved in sleep regulation and stress response (Kovalzon et al., 2006). Research shows effects on delta wave sleep induction and cortisol modulation (Graf & Kastin, 1984).
Research Applications
- Sleep physiology research (Kovalzon et al., 2006)
- Circadian rhythm studies (Graf & Kastin, 1986)
- Stress response modulation
- Neuroendocrine signaling
- Delta wave sleep architecture

Research Overview
DSIP is a synthetic peptide compound used in laboratory research settings. Researchers studying cognitive function and neuroprotection use this compound to investigate cellular signaling pathways, receptor binding affinities, and structure-activity relationships. Each batch is manufactured under controlled conditions and verified through HPLC and mass spectrometry analysis to ensure consistency across experimental replicates.

Frequently Asked Questions
What purity is DSIP?
Each lot of DSIP is verified to ≥99% by HPLC and confirmed by mass spectrometry. Results are documented in a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis.
Does DSIP include a Certificate of Analysis?
Yes. A batch-specific Certificate of Analysis for DSIP documents its purity and identity and is available on our COA page.
How should DSIP be stored?
DSIP is supplied as a lyophilized powder. For short-term storage keep it refrigerated; for long-term storage keep it frozen, away from light and moisture.
How is DSIP shipped?
Orders ship at a $15 flat rate, free on orders over $199, in discreet, insulated packaging. Domestic delivery typically takes 1–3 business days.
Can DSIP be used on humans or animals?
No. DSIP is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. It is not for human or veterinary use, consumption, or diagnostic or clinical applications.
